This
set depicts Longboards from the 19th century Hawaiian Solid Koa board
to the 'Fantastic Plastics' of 1967-68.
Each Board is made from rare and beautiful timbers. Details include nose blocks,
tail blocks, laminated stringers, rails and fins with accurately reproduced
plan shapes, rocker and rails. Each set is mounted on high quality Arches-Rives
museum quality, acid free art paper with text describing dimensions, materials,
design features and dates of individual boards.
Timbers include Tasmanian Huon Pine, Myrtle, Blackwood,
Sassafras and Californian Redwood, Balsa and Koa.
Boards are finished in clear high gloss and hand painted colour.
